Hey I guess we all should post our little road records. I came back in mid March from Philadelphia where I had visited some friends. I had done that roundtrip several times before, but always in a rental car, the fast trip was always the return route (usually departing around noon on Sunday to get back at a decent time).
The previous fastest time (including all gas stops, food and tolls)was 10h 15min in a Saab 9.3 (courtesy of Budget). So now finally in my dream car I pushed my dakar M coupe to finally get below the magic 10 hour mark. I had to gas up twice (only gas stations right of the exit, swipe the credit card, start filling, go pee and grab a bite, try to be back in the car asap), and had to briefly stop at three tolls in Delaware and Maryland. A little scare in Knoxville as I saw an accident scene looming ahead, but thank god, I was able to bypass. I pulled in here after 9 hours 52 minutes, well under the 10 hours. Averages out to about 73.5 miles an hour. So now, which barrier is next? Hmmmm
