Kids car seats in M Coupe- opinions? (archive)

So,
in the real world, does anyone take their toddlers (2 1/2 yr olds) for rides in their M Coupe's. I know the rear facing seats are no-no's. But with the dual speed airbags, they can't be that powerful. Does anyone take their kids out in child seats? (hey - I know its not a family car but...). My wife's Jeep manual seems to think its OK to put the front facing ones in the front as long as the seat is way back, which I guess is further back from the airbag than in the Coupe.
I did try looking in the archives, but didn't come up with anything, so if someone has explained this before, can you point me to it
