Of coruse, then again, it might just be a fast car. There were some "official" and "unofficial" performance figures over on the E46 board a while back... I have to say, I can't imagine that BMW would have skimped in such a manner in the face of deepening of the markets' waters.

About your experience at Laguna Seca... my experience at Limerock has always told me that the biggest discrepancies are not in the cars, but in the drivers. I have always found high-revving cars more difficult to drive competitively... perhaps that shortcoming of mine was also in the pilot of the S2000's at the track.
