: "Silly as it seems, getting your wallet out of your back pocket was a serious suggestion. It made a difference for me. Beyond that, I don't have this problem."
: I have been doing that since day one, also emptying my other pockest of keys, chapstick, money, etc. Doesn't help, I can ell that I am sinking into the left back corner of my seat. I need to drive someone else's Coupe for half an hour and see how it feels.
: "Just playing devil's advocate here, but are you sure it's overspray and not pitting? Painted wheels are very prone to pitting if you let brake dust get wet."
: I am pretty sure, there might be some pitting, but it looks like overlapping layers of paint "misting". Kind of like a spray nozzle that was dirty and was spattering instead of spraying.
: "On a better note, they supposedly put a check valve on the hosing somewhere for the rear wiper. I am going to test this weekend and see if it helps.
: Is this the Ron Stygar mod? Keep us posted."
: I assume so, I have no idea where they put it. I am going to rip into that hatch today and see if I can find it.
: "Gear shift getting WAY nothcy sometimes,
: Interesting. I had this problem when the car was new, but it's been getting better (3100mi and counting). Once, I was totally locked out of 1st, and the car was stationary. I had to shift into 2nd, goose the clutch a little, then go back to 1st. "
: This has only happened to me once, but that was once too many. Others have reported the same thing, and I have a feeling that it will only get worse and more damaging the more miles are put on the coupe.
: "Stink of washer fluid when using either rear or front washers.
: Rear washer too? I've noticed this with the fronts, and think it's just something that we'll have to live with. Given that the firing line of the front washers is directly over the cabin air intake, (see thread on cowl induction ;) I'm not sure what could be done about it."
: Yeah, it really isn't too bad, it doesn't bother me too much. But I figured I would see if BMW had anything to say about it, of course they didn't.
: "If you're looking for a clueful service department, I've been very pleased with My BMW in Monterey (Seaside, actually) A bit of a haul, yes, but if they get it right..."
: Damn, I hate having to drive 2 hours to get the level of service you should expect when buying a 42k dollar car!
