Interior colour screw-up for 2001 (archive)

Going to
http://www.bmw.de/auto/index.htm referred to in the earlier "3.0 Coupe info on BMWNA site" posting, one notes in the pic at the bottom that the "special colour" in the interior doesn't appear on the console, separating the driver and passenger, but moves to the driver- and passenger-sides on the dashboard. Agreed, that this is a major aesthetic screw-up?
