I would have to disagree. The Euro M Coupe does not have the same engine as the 2001 M Coupe. The Euro M is largely hand built, making it expensive, and that much more desireable.

The M1 is worth a lot of money. Not because it was this fascinating car that everyone wanted. Mostly because there aren't very many out there, and I don't think they officially brought them to the US(probably wrong). Well the Euro M Coupe is the same way. It is a very small production car because there is very little demand for it. From what I understand, the general public in Europe hates the styling of the M Coupe worse than here. Combine that with the fact that the Euro M costs about $75000, and the Z3 Coupe around 35 or 40k. You can see why there is very little demand for the Euro M. Like I said before, on a worldwide basis the Z3 Coupe far outsells the M Coupe. Now we here plans to put the world motor into the M Coupe in 2001, so the lifespan of the Euro M Coupe is very short. All this combines to make a rare car in any country that will probably one day be admired as one of the more gutsy ventures BMW has made. The Euro M will just be that much more rare, and its hand built motor will give it that added punch to make it a very valuable car someday.
