Summer oil..Is Mobil 1 10W-30 Thick Enough? (archive)

I live in the midwest. Is Mobil 1 10W-30 thick enough for the M Coupe in the summer? I have been reading a lot about oil consumption, and I don't know which oil to use for the summer here.
BMW 5W-30 Synthetic?
Mobil 1 10W-30
Mobil 1 15W-50 (Too thick?)
Castrol 5W-50
