Rick- Deciding on the winners was the only real unexpected problem that I encountered yesterday... If I had to do it all over again I probably wouldn't have had the "competition"... That Techno Violet M3 was clear the most modified car at Bimmerfest - and no doubt could have/should have won an award... Vicky's 323Ci also was a strong contender; not including that one was even more difficulty for me because not only are Jon M and Vicky good friends of mine, they are my customers (that probably worked against them - I didn't want to show bias, or play "favorites")... Jim Herman's Green M Coupe was also a standout as was the Black M Roadster, as well as several others. What I tried to do was pick a vehicle from each of the three model categories that were most represented: E46's, M Coupes/Roadsters, and M3's. The E46 that won (based on my subjective perception) was ultra-clean, had many hi-perf mods, and had "eyeball" above and beyond the others. The M Coupe that took 2nd place also had similar qualities. The M3 'Lightwieght" that took 3rd won purely on the rarety of the car. If we have such a competition at the next BimmerFest all judjing will be left to the contestants themselves... I was afraid that this was going to happen... Regretfully, -- Jon
