The airbag will have to be removed to pull those pieces out
Make sure you disconnect the battery before attempting to remove the airbag

: Does anyone know how to remove the two plastic inserts on the ///M steering wheel which are painted body-color in ///M cars but are left black on non-M cars? I would like to paint mine, but didn't want to risk breaking anything by trying to force off the horn pad.
