The bar works perfectly and is an easy DIY project. The most time comsuming part is dismounting the seats to get the lap belt on the side of the seat next to the transmission tunnel.

It was not "custom"--although I would suspect they have not made many units. As I recall, the price was aroun $600--pricey but worth it because of the nice fit and finish (since the bar is a hassle to take in and out, it is nice to have a finish that looks OK for the street). Give them a call for all the details. This installation directions are not the clearest but they have good tech support.
