One suggestion for a SHOW class, . . . (archive)

When I had my Audi A4 and I almost joined a VW/Audi Club, they were almost physically torn apart at the 1st meeting I went to BECAUSE only the SHOW (and NO GO) cars got everything! All the (SHOW) trophies, the FREE car parts, and the publicity (magazine articles). All us RACERS got nothing, even though we PUSH our cars to the LIMITS (instead of hiding it in a garage) and thus USE the parts that are sold (but go free to a show car that NEVER has a need for it!!!!!!!), we never get any credit. And anyone who has done a track event knows (like Vegas this past weekend) that your car will never stay cherry for long. Hell, I had gravel bouncing off my hood and roof from the cars tearing up the track in front of me, but I was there for a reason, to PASS them :)

So, next time, it might be a GOOD idea to have a class for RACE vehicles as well. Give us a chance, even though our hoods look like the constelations in the sky, we TOO take pride in our cars, but we USE them.
