But in reality, Karl did AWESOME, running in the M Modified class against some extremely modified M3's (both E30 and E36), one (E36) nearly full race, he got 3rd place! Tops was a 64, next a 66, and Karl with a 68! The rest were 70 and higher. And though INSIDE the Trapp might be a bit loud for him, outside, even with no discs, it was PURE MUSIC! And not that loud either.
As for the Lady of the day, Silvy - she did quite well! She went from an 80+ down to a 76! And this was just her FIRST event! The top time in C (what would have been where I was in) was a 70, so she did REAL GOOD! And HE was trying his heart out - Silvy was still getting used to it. She hadn't even had good tire pressures in her tires for AutoX most of the day, and still got within 6 seconds of the C class champ - AMAZING!
Earlier, at least I got ONE thrill - Silvy, one other guy, and myself got a ride in Chris Teague's M3 (2nd placer in M Mod with a 66). I tell you, sitting in the BACK SEAT was a real thrill ride on a race course! IT was so weird to be in the back, barely able to see where we were going, then being there, and then gone! A REAL captive audience :)
Anyway, Sunday is the real event for me at the SCCA Solo II at Hollywood Park. This is a points event for me, and luckily I am in the after lunch run group. Silvy might be either there, or the SD SCCA Solo II - so be on the lookout for a FAST woman in a white //M!!!
