Yeah, that is one of the negatives.. it does block the AC vent.. but, then again, on a convertible, I rarely use it anyways! Also, you can use the unit completely without deploying the screen. May not "look" as cool, but, functions the same.

Also, it is a simple matter to "turn off" the middle air vents, which will increase air flow to the side vents, and it blows better than out the center anyways!

The screen is adjustable front and back, as well as tilt angle.
