Ortega Highway run Saturday 5/13 (archive)

Ok people its official, we are going for a drive/get-
together on Ortega Hwy this saturday the 13th. We'll be
meeting at the 76 gas station parking, there's also
parking in Denny's behind 76 which should be enough for
our 20+ cars. If you are coming from L.A or north of
San Juan Capistrano: take 5 south and get off at Ortega
Hwy exit, then turn left, 76 will be just on your
right. If you are coming from SD, take 5 north then get
off at Ortega Hwy, turn right, 76 will be on your
right.
We'll meet at exactly 8:15AM!!! Take off at 8:25, so be
sure u get there on time. We could have gone earlier
but I'm letting SD and Ventura county people sleep a
little more. And don't be lazy saying its too early,
because at that hour, we will encounter less SUVs with
boats on their backs. We'll drive from 76 all the way
pass the lake and rest just before the stop sign at the
bottom of the other side like last time. Its a less
than 30 miles drive, and some people want it longer, but
we can discuss that when we're there. Also will have
lunch together at San Juan Capistrano for those
interested. Most of you, voted Ortega as the best or
among the best to take a drive, that's why I'm going for
this one now. I heard from others, there's a road in
the Azusa area that is close to L.A that we can go on
too. But for now, Ortega is where we going. I'll email
you again, if plans change.
Again, this time I'm mixing some hi-powered machines
including Porsches, BMWs, and Audis, but if you or your
buddies have other makes you're very welcome to come,
just make sure it can keep up with us!:) However, I
can't stress this enough that this isn't a race, we have
some bad accidents recently, and try to drive within
your limits and don't cross the double yellow lines!!!
Again bring water and raise your tire pressures and
remove any lose items in the car.
Also my at&t account doesn't allow me to sent more than
12 emails at a time, so for those who wish to be taken
off my list, I'm more than happy to do so. I have more
than 50 names here!! Just email me about it.
