Gauge install?? (archive)

I've been following the discussions/banter on this board for quite some time as I have been considering buying an M Coupe over the past 6-9 months. Well, I finally found and purchased a great used example with very little miles (and at a great price). The only downside is it's pretty conservative - silver/black. Nevertheless, it is beautiful (goes without saying).

Here's my question - the car does not have the center battery voltage gauge in the three gauage cluster in the center console. The black filler plate that fills the void looks pretty generic. Have any of you installed the factory voltage gauge in the spot that's empty, or better yet, an oil pressure or temp gauge? Any other creative suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
