American build quality (hood to bumper clearance) (archive)

Was sitting in front of my silver/black m the other day eating my tacos, chewing, enjoying the lines, when I noticed that the clearance betw the hood bottom and top of bumper wasn't quite the same left side vs right side. Left side seems tighter at about less than 1/4 inch clearance while the right side is just shy of 1/2 an inch.

Anyone else notice this on theirs?

J (1000 miles on the odometer. 200 more to go - woohoo!)
