0-60 times aren't everthing. The 321 hp Euro-spec ///M coupe performs acellerates almost identically from 0-60 as the US-spec ///M Coupe. But, the Euro-spec Coupe will cream the US-Spec Coupe above 60 mph.
A V-8 in the Coupe is really overkill. The 0-60 time of 4.8 seconds shows that there is almost *too much* power for the available grip of the Coupe.
Speaking of 6... I think it's interesting BMW keeps telling us all that the 6 speed won't fit, yet the Hartge car not only crams in the V8, it does so with the 6 speed to boot.
There's a difference between what actually fits, and what is feasible for production. Hartage obviously spent a lot of money to make that 6 speed fit. BMW has obviousily decided that most customers aren't willing to pay the extra money for the 6 speed -- especially since the ///M Coupe already has limited appeal.
