: If you're driving with the ASC system on, don't assume that you can't get power-on oversteer. It can and will happen. I accelerated hard around a left-hand turn at an intersection while it was raining. The ASC did kick in and cut the power but it was too late. The back end came around and kept coming around. I was waiting for it to come back around since power had been cut, but no dice. I then counter-steered and everything came out just fine, but it got my attention.

Actually, I've been speculating lately that there are a number of situations where simple ASC could be a very ugly thing. DSC has the ability to do things with front brakes only that might not be so nasty.

This is another example of the problem. BTW, feathering out of throttle oversteer is pretty unlikely, countersteering is your best bet. The thing that is most infuriating about ASC is that it will deny you the power you need to get out a situation. In a car that can be as tail-happy as the Coupe (when driven "badly") that's a scary thing.

: From now on, I'm going to drive w/ ASC off, even in the rain. Why? Because I would rather be preparing for the worst at all times and keep on my toes. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I think I'm going to install the mod that automagically turns off the ASC. I think I'll turn it on in rain, because it makes standing starts a little easier to manage, but you have an excellent point.

: And Zandr: You are too funny. Loved your last post.

Keep those straight lines coming... ;)
