No one can confirm as of yet the exact engine the M-Coupe will get. The M brand manager in a recent meeting mentioned that the Coupe will get a more powerful engine. But I guess was intentially vague as to what the engine will be. My guess is it will be based off the new M3 engine, perhaps with a few modifications and maybe a lower output? Who knows.

But yet...it is getting a more powerful engine for 2001. And more than likely a prince increase a well. Again another guess, but 3-5% seems reasonable. And the SOP is September 2000.
