In Reply to: Bad day for my new M coupe :( posted by MPressed on June 02, 2000 at 19:28:18:

The shifter felt buttery smooth up until today. Now it feels sticky, and feels like I have to muscle it more into gear (not really hard, just harder than I did in the beginning)

Anyone else have this problem, or is this normal?

: Around 750 miles on my M coupe.

: The first bad thing that happened today was I scraped both passenger wheels. The tires don't have a mark on them, but the wheels got scratched(not enough tire for the wheels, that and me looking at girls instead of a curb :) )

: Next I went to open the hatch, and it won't open. You have to use the key to open it, the button isn't working.

: Also that stupid rear windshield washer leak seems like it's getting worse.

: It really pisses me off to spend all of this money on a car, and have the hatch all screwed up already in the 1st week I've had the car.

: One other gripe is that I wish you could disable the traction permanently, so that you don't have to turn it off all the time. I wish it was off all of the time, and you just had to turn it on when you want it. It's so annoying when I forget to turn it off, and you feel the car braking, and creating lots of break dust to dirty up the wheels.

: Other than that, the only major problem is that I can't get the hell out of the car, it won't let me! Also, it refused to let me break it in, instead it begs to be broken!

: Sorry for all of the bitching....
