I purchased Bridgestone Potenza RE730's in 225/45R17 and 255/40R17. The perfect setup for our car (M coupe) in my opinion.
After receiving the wheels I realized that the 255's were simply too narrow for the 10 inch rear wheel. They would function fin, but looked stupid stretch-fit onto the wheel (they look like the stock rear dunlops, only worse). The problem is that I am an idiot and drove on them to work one day. I drove about 38 or so miles on them, and then realized that they just didn't look right to me, and that I needed to get 275's for the rear. I was at least smart enough to not drive on the fronts, they too looked a bit small on the 8 inch wheels, so I ended up going with 235/45R17's on the front, and 275/40 on the rear. It is a tight squeeze to say the least.
Anyway.
I have the 255/40R17's for sale, they have about 40 miles on them. I literally only drove on them one day to and from work. I bought them from the Tire Rack for $147 plus shipping. I don't want to lose that much $$ on them, so if someone in the bay area is looking to get some new tires you can save the cost of shipping (about 12 a tire)
I also have the 225/45 which are brand new, if someone wants to pay me what I paid for them fron the Tire Rack I would be more then willing to save you the cost of shipping, and having to wait for it to come in the mail. If not I will simply return them.
If you are interested let me know.
