and God help you if you hit my kid or my dog!
Let's see, "I woulda had the curve perfect, 4 wheel drift and everything, but for that soccer mom . . ."
Keep it on the track.
: Ya' know, if you're doing 130 and a fat Vermont June bug bites it in your windshield, they'll be picking the glass out of your face for weeks. Seriously, folks, if you want to race, do it on a race track. I know nobody in this country's a bad driver or a bad lover, but.........
: I've been a race doctor for SCCA, VSCCA, and SVRA over the years (currently the Philadelphia region SCCA Race Physician, although the two years I just spent getting an MBA kept me away the track) as well as a licensed SCCA racer and scrutineer. I've also been a facial plastic surgeon for 20 years at an academic Level 1 trauma center.
: Trust me - there aren't very many people who can safely push an M coupe (or even a Honda Civic Si, for that matter)anywhere near its limits. I've repaired the facial wounds and fractures of many who thought otherwise. If you apex that turn just right and some poor slob is changing his tire at the trackout point down the road, you're both toast - period. There ain't nuttin' you can do!
: It's not a sign of inferiority to admit that you have limits. I've been a competition driver since 1966, and I haven't any business doing 130 on public roads. Neither does any of you -
