This is normal. By the way the rubber you are seeing is yours, not stuff you are picking up (unless you really are off line, then you have a BIGGER problem!).

If these are track tires don't remove the chunks. If they are street tires they will wear off naturaly (by the way you just heat cycled them pretty well so expect the street performance to fall off pretty well, they will now get "hard").

By the way, scuffing tires (zig zag driving) is NOT to remove rubber, it is to generate some heat in your cold tires so they will stick better. Watch the F1 teams or Grand Prix bikes, before they grid they heat the tires with heated blankets so they get heat in the tire BEFORE going out on track.
