F1 drivers don't have to look out for pedestrians, have cars pulling out of side streets, 2-way traffic, stop signs, Traffic lights,etc. A F1 car requires the optimised information as a 2 hour race is the goal, Do you really need to know the fuel consumption was 23.5mpg for that trip to the shops? or is the fact that the needle is above red enough.
