it's just disconcerting to get the shakes in the wheel on the back 'straight' (which is really a long, bumpy sweeper with a concrete wall) at 120 mph... if i get other people's tire chunks on my windshield and hood, why not on my tires? i'm fairly confident of my line (and have video to back that up! ;) - but there is a lot of debris on the track surface. yes, it does get 'swept' off the line, but generally someone has to run over it to throw it off to the side. my guess is that hot rubber chunks off the car ahead are finding their way under my tires and choosing to stick around. i don't see any spots on my tires where chunks of that size (like a peanut that someone stepped on) could have come from. but, of course, i am only guessing - this is not meant as an argument but as a discussion :)
