: : I took my 2000 Dakar Yellow M Coupe to Sears Point for their wed. night race what your brought events.

: : My very first run was 13.976. :)

: What RPM did you launch at for your first run?

I launched at around 1500 rpm.

:
: : With more practice I'm sure I can improve that by 2/10 or more. I did bog on the launch a bit and on the second run I rev up to 2500rpm but that just made my wheel spin all the way in first and part way in 2nd so the time was slower my nearly 1sec.

: Hmmm... I usually don't get much wheelspin when
: launching at around 3k. Think this was due to the
: track being more slippery than the street?

On the second run I was in the left lane which was a nightmare as far as traction was concerned. Depeete was in the left lane on the first run and he got massive wheel spin as well. So I think it was the lane more than anything else.
Also, just before my run the track guy "mopped" the surface where my rear wheel would have lined up so that could have had an affect as well.

: Is your coupe stock?

My coupe is bone stock.
