When I was ordering for my Z3 coupe 2.8; Dinan said it was lighter than the stock unit, however, it turns out to be almost 10 pounds heavier.
Also, the welds looked terrible and are exposed to view from behind; the rear skirt doesn't hide them.
I was thinking it would have two outlets as pictured in their literature; on the 2.8, it looks like a 1.9 with the single outlet. Also, the single outlet square inch area is smaller than the stock dual outlets total area. The oversized tip is total fake.
And it doesn't have a straight through pipe; it still has a "kink" in there.
I couldn't tell any difference in sound.
If it did improve the engine breathing slightly; the added weight nullified that gain.
I returned it.
