Looks like I've got a buyer for my yellow Plymouth Prowler. I'm now confronted with the following decision : Should I...

1) Buy a new 2000 model M Coupe. I have located (outside of Tennessee) both a Black and an Imola red coupe that I can buy for $40,000. With sales tax, the car will cost me $42,500 out the door.

or

2) Order a new 3.0 Coupe. My dealer will sell me one at $2000 off MSRP, resulting in a price of approx. $37,500 for a 3.0 Coupe with a sunroof, CD, aluminum trim, and cross spoke 17" wheels. Since it's my local dealer here in Nashville and they know me quite well, they will run the Prowler thru as a trade and sell it to my buyer, saving me all the sales tax (NO sales tax in Tennessee when trading down). Thus, the out the door price is $37,500.

What do you think: Is the M Coupe worth $5000 more than a one year newer 3.0 Coupe? $5000 sure would buy a nice set of HRE or Kinesis rims, if I choose the 3.0 Coupe route.
