Zach - Careful what you say about front-wheel-drive (FWD) cars. Have you driven any STRONG FWD cars? I doubt it. Up front, I must agree with you that a RWD will win out in the end ... but you'd be amazed at how well they will handle and accelerate with the right mods. I speak from experience, having also in my stable a 1985 Dodge Omni GLH ("Goes Like Hell") Turbo, which I've mentioned on this MB before. This car has gone 12.99 at 105 thru the quarter with open exhaust and slicks; 13.33 at 104 in street trim. Check out: http://www.uwm.edu/People/jpc/doug.html. I've driven my "///M coupe" and my GLH at Portland International Raceway, both shod with track tires, and their lap times are essentially equal; the Coupe out corners, the GLH out accelerates.

The GLH was my daily driver for almost 14 years and, with its all stock appearance ... the ultimate "Sleeper" car! I can't count the number factory so-called performance or muscle cars I've shown my tail-lights to in the GLH. They even followed me into parking lots, wondering what the hell is under the hood! Fun, you bet. The car is for sale currently, but I'm gonna cry the day it drives away.

My thoughts ... FWIW

ps: For more info on the GLH, go to the link below.
