The residual is a set number. If the car is worth less, you walk and say thanks. If it's worth more, you can get short extensions, sell the car and pocket the difference! But, they won't negotiate the buy-out. The dealer is out of the loop on that, it's BMW financial services, who wants the residual or the car, period.

You can extend the lease, with a new residual further down the road, and new payments adjusted to reflect that new residual. Pretty cool deal actually. You can also convert a lease to a purchase through BMW, or simply roll into a purchase contract at the end of the lease contract! All with a simple phone call to BMW FS.

: I HAve a 2,8 coupe on a 24 month lease which is up in april of 2001.I paid 3000 down and 200 amonth the buyout is 28 k my qestion is do u think bmw will let me extend this killer lease at end off 24 months or make me buy it out.cAn u negotiate on buy out price .
