: Hi there,
: I know how you feel with the very weak AC of the M Coupe. I agree with you that it does not blow cold air until you are driving at Freeways Speeds.
: I live in Southern California and the sun here is comparable to that in Texas...meaning HOT!
: I had a problem last summer with the AC. Whenever I left the car parked and came back to drive it, the AC will stay hot for almost 10 minutes if not more. What I did was install window tint on my car, and that seemed to solve the problem for me. After that, getting in the car was a lot better and the AC was blowing colder air even in traffic. The problem is that tinting is not legal on the driver and passenger windows, and I was cited for that...
:i tinted the back hatch and back windows ,it really helped plus looks excellent.u must get a interiour cover 4 moon roof!!! alSO CHECKvent temp with digital temp gauge(radio shack) time how long it takes temp 2 drop,it should stat dropping soon after start up cotinue 2 drop 2 about 40=45 depending on outside temp, keep track of temp during long test drive,if your is kicking off for too long of time the car wont kool .This is the way 2 test ac,not placind a temp guage 4 couple minutes near vent,u must test output temp over longer time period.I use 2 be in the bussiness remember yyou must cover the sun roof. i live in south fl. and my car stays cold! if temp. from vent does not stay stable contact your dealer. probally bad a/c clutch.
