There were two autocross events this weekend in Marina California.

SATURDAY:

On Saturday I was the only BMW (also only non-P car) at a "P" car autocross! I did not know they were there until I drove up and asked if I could drive. They looked at me and talked a bit and then said ok! So, after a quick run home for the BFG T/A R1's I signed up.

Lots of Boxters & 911's to play with! I got a lot of strange looks but after the first run I also got a lot of questions. Questions like, is your Z3 stock? Did it really come with four tail pipes? What size motor does it have? Were you at red line at turn three? Anyway a good showing broke allot of ice. (I think my first run beat the top time for the fastest Boxter!) I met some nice fellow car buffs and a good time was had by all.

SUNDAY:

On Sunday I did the SCCA autocross. Three normal runs and three fun runs. Not the best I have done but respectable.

Two autocross events in one weekend! Lots of sun and I'm tired. I think I can use a break. Well at least until the day and night NASA autocross set for July 22, 2000. That's correct there is two autocross events scheduled for July 22, 2000 at Marina, California. Two events might be worth a drive up for you?

REAR SWAY BAR:

Sometime Saturday or Sunday my rear sway bar came lose again. This poorly designed piece of junk comes loose every time I autocross the car! When is BMW going to recall and fix this junk!
