: Chrome sets from BMW dealers run around $700, or about the cost of one rear rim. But, chrome isn't perfect. Some instances of tire-fixer crap being caustic enough to strip the finish, making the chrome peel have been reported. As this is the only tire fix available to the M car owners, this could be problematic....

Something I meant to ask you. Are these actually chromed, or do they just polish the aluminum and then possibly clearcoat it?

BTW, the front that I was hoping to swap with you does have a nick in the metal... It might polish out, but it might not.

If anyone has a good front that they'd like to trade for a nicked front and some cash, please email me. (or more scratched wheels, maybe I'll start building a set of track wheels and buy new for the one front I damaged.)

Thanks,
-Zandr
