creaky plastic (m) (archive)

hi all

the plastic cowling behind my seats (the assembly that the mesh divider and subwoofer are in) creaks. can anyone suggest a lubricant i can try in the joints that won't eat up the plastic? i am pondering just using WD-40 but i am afraid to until i know if something better might be available.
