basically you need to put something in the seam between the forward-facing half and the rearward-facing half.

1. remove the roll-up net/cargo cover assembly by first removing the endcaps (slide towards center of car and snap off), then removing the four nuts holding the thing in place.

2. remove the plastic screws holding the backward-facing pieces of plastic to the forward-facing ones. the heads get damaged easily, but are generally good for one disassembly/assembly.

3. pull the pieces of plastic apart (it is not necessary to remove them, but it helps - they are held by several snaps at the bottom, just pull hard). insert double-sided foam tape or just plain masking tape into the seam.

4. reassemble, tightening the plastic screws as much as practical.

that ought to do it.

btw - if you are experiencing a metallic rattle from the back, it is likely the amp enclosure and/or its mounting bracket. while you have the plastic apart you might want to give the amp a few taps to see if it rattles, and if it does use more foam tape or masking tape to take care of it.
