hmm - i'll try it this weekend and let you know how it turns out.
thanks,
gs.
: basically you need to put something in the seam between the forward-facing half and the rearward-facing half.
: 1. remove the roll-up net/cargo cover assembly by first removing the endcaps (slide towards center of car and snap off), then removing the four nuts holding the thing in place.
: 2. remove the plastic screws holding the backward-facing pieces of plastic to the forward-facing ones. the heads get damaged easily, but are generally good for one disassembly/assembly.
: 3. pull the pieces of plastic apart (it is not necessary to remove them, but it helps - they are held by several snaps at the bottom, just pull hard). insert double-sided foam tape or just plain masking tape into the seam.
: 4. reassemble, tightening the plastic screws as much as practical.
: that ought to do it.
: btw - if you are experiencing a metallic rattle from the back, it is likely the amp enclosure and/or its mounting bracket. while you have the plastic apart you might want to give the amp a few taps to see if it rattles, and if it does use more foam tape or masking tape to take care of it.
: good luck.
