Spare tire - anybody miss it? (archive)

Trying to decided between the 2.8 Coupe and the M Coupe. The spare tire is one of the big factors for me. This car would be a daily driver and only car, and I often make late night road trips. Has anybody successfully used BMW's roadside assistance? How do they treat you? How long was your trip delayed? How much does the lack of a spare bother you M Coupe owners?
