There isn't much you can do to avoid this short of driving the Coupe more, or switching to harder, all-season tires. However it would be not so smart to put all seasons on your Coupe.

The rubber on performance tires is pretty soft. Someone on the board could maybe recommend a tire less susceptible to flat spots. However, the flat spots are temporary (unlike those caused by a locked wheel during hard braking). They should return to normal after a while (as you've said).

However, here's a trick I learned from my dad: Place pieces of soft foam underneath the tires.
