I also went solo in 97 and 98, from Houston, and there was a definite shortage of non-wife and non-girlfriend females. You'll have a blast and the "Dragon" will bring with it a new appreciation of what your Coupe can do on a twisty road. Emjoy and Happy B-Day.
On the first homecoming trip through the dragon a woman became sick, but it turned out she was pregnant at the time.
Don't worry, it's a blast. If you hit it at night, and there is no truck traffic, you can use both lanes and really pick your line to connect the switchback corners. If you are confident in your driving ability you can even drift the rear end out a bit. Put a little extra air in your tires just before hitting the dragon (35-37 psi). Don't forget to let it back out.
