I've used Raybrigs with great success, put the *same* set bulbs in my BMW R1100GS, BMW F650, and 69 Mini Cooper S with no problems... handled offroad duty and normal road use, 18k mis and was still going strong.

I used the Hyper Halogens (Raybrig 289's) that were filled with Xenon gas, drew 60/55w and put out light the equivalent of 130/125w. Beware of some other lights that have a blue/white tint to them but don't illuminate the road worth crap and/or draw high wattage.

If you want to spend your hard earned money right, get the real deal and invest in some aftermarket HIDs. I've seen kits around $800+, and NO BULB will ever match it's performance... or price. You'll definitely have a M Coupe that stands out, that's for sure. ;)
