I agree when you would rather pay $600 to get the real HID kit. However, I don't think it makes the car stand out. I have Phoenix MicroLite HID on my M roadster, it looks just like a brighter halogen headlight, not like the OEM HID at all. I was told that's because the headlight on Z3 is not projector lights(the same kits on Supra and NSX look fabulous). The only way to correct this is to fit a reflector and some other stuff from a E46 with OEM Xenon, which is costy.
