Monday! As in only 5 days from now. I'm in shock. Free loaner and everything. Only problem is, I gotta drive to Fremont on Monday morning, but I can live with that.

Let's hope the actual service visit lives up to the pre-visit stuff. Right now I'm thrilled, especially compared with the south bay dealerships.



I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with our local dealers here in the SF Bay (south bay in particular).

This past weekend my service light came on in my '99 M Coupe (18K miles). I called Allison (very close to work) yesterday morning, left a message. No call back. Called again in the afternoon, no call back. One last call late yesterday afternoon, no call back. Another call this morning, no call back. I finally insisted this afternoon that I will not get off the phone until I speak with a human, and so I was able to schedule an appointment for August 28th.

All I need is an Inspection. Should I even bother? Just change the oil myself and borrow someone's reset tool? These dealers have pissed me off. It took 5 calls just to schedule an appointment that won't happen for another 4 weeks.

I called Stevens Creek BMW next. I got voicemail, but at least the message said when the next available appointment is: September 11th! Sheesh! There has got to be a better way.

Anyone have any other dealers that that aren't too terribly inconvenient for me (I live in Cupertino, work in Mountain View) that might be a little more responsive and friendly than our two south bay dealerships? How is Peter Pan? If you have personal contacts in any service departments, that would be even better.
