the best price they'd give me was $32,000 (and I've bought probably 5 or 6 new cars from them since I've been married (14 years), so I was expecting a better deal)! They're asking $34,900, which is nearly what the damn thing cost new! Funny thing is, I took ads from five '99 Z3 2.8 Coupes I found on Autotrader to show them, all asking $28,900 to $30,900. And these are asking prices. I certainly believe I could buy one or two (or more) of these 5 for $27,000 to $28,000. I offered $28,000, BTW, which was all I was willing to pay.Guess I may order the 3.0. Seemed quicker than the 2.8 by a bit, and has a better exhaust note. Since they'll discount it $2000 off MSRP, I can buy one for approx. $37,500 if I go with Dakar yellow, or about $38,000 if I go silver. That silver sure does look nice after looking at one in that color. Well worth the $5500 or $6000 extra over the '99. And that price includes the CD, aluminum trim, and 17" cross spoke alloys (they do look nice on the Dakar 3.0 Roadster I drove yesterday) for the '01 Z3 Coupe.
Still deciding...
