Actually it is the perception of non-BMW drivers that becomes distorted by the superior manufacturing of a family owned German company. The eyesight of such non-owners becomes narrow as the presure in the eye increases due to anger and envy. This increase in preasure distorts the vision to make BMW drivers seem as if they are looking up into the sky. In all actuality it is the curvature of the vision, much like a fish eye lens, that causes this.

Also, I am not old enough to remember the yuppie era... It's called work for your money and choose your car.

Why is it that BMW drivers are all thought to be tossers by non BMW drivers?

Is it the arrogance they display as drivers?

Is it left over feelings of contempt from the yuppie era?

Could it be simply the self satisfied, smug, masturbatory attitude of BMW drivers in general?
