Comp/collision with a $500 deductible on my 00 M is the same price as just liability on my last car, a 91 MR2 Turbo. Didn't know that about the hatchback rating, but damn, I'm glad they did.


Call your insurance company, It may not be as much as you think. Those crafty devils at BMW somehow got the M Coupe classified as a hatch-back!!

I was wondering how much everyone pays for insurance on the coupe? I can almost afford a coupe. As soon as I get a good down payment I will be getting. I just wanted to be able to better estimate the cost of ownership. I have wanted this car ever since I saw it in a magazine ad two years ago! Hopefully I'll be able to find a used one in Estoril Blue!!
