I have a '99 estoril blue M Coupe and my insurance is less than what I was paying on a 95 Probe GT. I'm leasing so the coverage is whatever BMW requires and I pay about $570 every 6 months from USAA. I live in Northern Virginia and had 4 tickets in the past 3 years before I got the car. I was 29 when I got the car.

Yeah I am 24. I probably would get shafted like that as well. Thanks for the info.

I am on the opposite end of the scale from the other people who responded. Here is what I pay...

Age: 22
Speeding Tickets: 3 (in past 3 years, all =<10mph over limit)
Accidents: None
Car: '99 M-Coupe
Location: SF Bay Area
Insurance Company: Geico
Deductable: $500
Coverage: Max on liability and others
6-month Payment: $1705

Before I switched to Geico I had Allstate, and my premium was $1980. VERY expensive I know, but should drop in a few years once the speeding tickets begin to drop off and I reach 25 years of age. Also, my '00 323Ci was $1100. So the M-Coupe is defiantely more than that car.
