Mike, went into town for most meals. Hard Rock, and a few other restaurants. Did Morton's steak house before - stuffed myself. Did not get to Tinley Park but will check for next trip. Had reservations for Gino's in Harvey but a storm took out the power and went to an Applebee's - gak.

Yeah, Gino's! But downtown, Jay Leno flys out just to get a beef sandwich at Mr Beef! But you GOT to try Bogarts!!!! Morton is WAY over priced!!! A RIPOFF!!!!

Boy the south side is NASTY! And covers a lot of area. Coworkers told me that Harvey had been a good area about 20 years ago but I went out first in 1990 and it has not improved since. Some of the guys at the plant had grown up with some of the Styx members - thought that was pretty cool.

Syyx, hell, I remember when they were TW4 and played at Marian Catholic HS! Now THAT goes a ways back! And there were a few other bands I used to know as well.

The south suburbs are sadly getting bad. There seems to be a mass exodus OUT of the city to the south, sort of like Sherman's march to the sea :( But on the bright side, a LOT of the famous old sandstone buildings are now able to be renovated, and are being made into $100K condos!

But let me know when you next go there! Maybe my brother could show you around! And in Chicago, BEEF IS KING - LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!!!!
