My problem with a clutch stop is that sometimes my car is hard to get into gear, specifically first.

I can feel the tranny lurch as I use more force then I would like to put it into first. Also I can simply push the stick up to the point where it is "close" to getting in gear, and I feel the "lurch" as meets resistance. It is a REALLY crappy feeling when I do that, so I am debating removing my clutch stop.

As soon as I can I am going to change out the Tranny fluid with Redline, hopefully this will take care of this particular problem.

I got Ron Stygar's clutch stop today in the mail...took all of about 30 seconds to install (perhaps the easiest mod on the planet). And man, what a difference! Why oh why did BMW not build the car like this! The decreased clutch throw is such a godsend! Shifts are done in less time, are more precise, and require less effort. It provides an even more sporty feel to the car.

To who ever doesn't have a clutch stop yet...send Ron and e-mail and get yourself one ASAP!
