2 No buttons... yea it's a bit strange at first but let's face it... there are only two (2) doors. Simple system too... push button down to lock. Pull handle to unlock. Not rocket science and there is one less button to clutter up the car.
3 Nobody is going to steal anything from the glass roof panel if it's open. Don't worry... the thing is great for cooling.
4 Yea the stereo does need some attention. Just be glad that you have the coupe to work with not the roadster.
5 BMW does have a foglight kit for the car. Think of them as a dealer (or you) installed option.
6 There may not be vanity lights but the map lights work well.
7 OK a spare would be nice but you are screwed on that one. Of course if it was that much of a problem for you you would have bought a Z3 coupe so I guess it isn't that bad.

I've now had my 00 M Coupe in Estoril Blue for 3 solid days here are my observations.
NO'S
1. No automatic door locks
2. No buttons for door locks.
3. Keys do not close moonroof only locks the car and rolls up windows.
4. Stereo sounds OK.
5. No Foglights
6. No lights for driver or passenger vanity mirrors
7. No spare tire
YES!
1. Awesome engine
2. Excellent brakes
3. Beautiful Car
4. Amazing sound of exhaust
5. Excellent handling
6. estoril Blue a real head turner
7. Sleek and well made
8. looks better than the new 911's
9. faster than a boxster S
10. It's mine all mine!!!!
