As an example let's take my speedo... when it said I was going 156 I was really only going 150.1mph. That's about a 4% difference.

As I recall, speedos are calibrated to be more accurate in the normal operating range (which I doubt is 150 mph). I don't know if this still holds true with all these newfangled com-pooter-ized gadgets tacked on everywhere, but it's something to consider.
